LIMITED 1 YEAR WARRANTY

 

WHAT IS COVERED

Your ChessUp board is warranted against original defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 1 year from the date of fulfillment, when used for normal purposes in accordance with the ChessUp User Guide. Please retain your proof of purchase. If you do not have your proof of purchase, your warranty will start 90 days after the date of manufacture, according to our records. This warranty provides, at no extra cost to you, all parts necessary to ensure your ChessUp board is in proper operating condition during the warranty period. The replacement of any part of your ChessUp board under warranty will not extend the period of warranty. Any parts which are returned to Bryght Labs will become the property of Bryght Labs. This limited warranty is subject to the following terms:

 

WHAT IS NOT COVERED

Accessories. Chess pieces, checkers pieces, piece bags, carry bags and phone stands are not covered by the warranty.

 

Bryght Labs shall not be liable for costs, damages or repairs incurred as a result of, due to, or from:

  • Careless operation or handling, misuse, abuse and/or lack of maintenance or use not in accordance with the ChessUp User Guide.
  • Use of the machine other than for normal purposes.
  • Use of parts not in accordance with the ChessUp User Guide.
  • Use of parts and accessories other than those produced or recommended by Bryght Labs.
  • Repairs or alterations carried out by unauthorized parties or agents.
  • Normal wear and tear.

WARRANTY LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS

If the item is no longer available, Bryght Labs may, in its discretion, replace with like-kind or allow a refund equal to the selling price of the original item.

If we determine that the damage is not caused by a manufacturing defect, then we will notify you and let you know if repair services are available at cost or otherwise.

Repair or service performed by any party other than Bryght Labs will void the warranty.

Any implied warranties relating to your ChessUp board including but not limited to warranty of merchantability or warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the duration of this warranty. This limitation is not allowed by some States, and so this limitation may not apply to you.

Your remedy for breach of this warranty is limited to the warranty service described below. Bryght Labs will not be liable for any consequential damages or incidental damages you may incur in connection with your purchase and use of your machine. This limitation is not allowed by some States and so this limitation may not apply to you.

This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights which vary by State.

This limited warranty is not transferable.

 

WARRANTY PROCESS

Please initiate the warranty claim process by contacting info@bryghtlabs.com. Provide your ChessUp board’s model name/number, serial number, date and place of purchase.

A $25 deposit will be taken before the shipment of your item to Bryght Labs for evaluation, which covers the cost of shipping the item and an evaluation by our experts to determine if the damage is warrantied. This fee is refunded in full for all warrantied repairs. We also offer complimentary shipping back to the customer for all warrantied repairs. Repairs that are not covered under the lifetime warranty will have a price quoted to the customer for approval before work is performed. If approved, the deposit will be applied to this repair. If the customer chooses not to perform the repair, the deposit will be applied to cover the shipping charge back to the customer after evaluation.

Please keep your purchase receipt in a safe place to ensure you have this information.

Any replaced defective parts will become the property of Bryght Labs.

Parts replacement under this warranty will not extend the period of this warranty.
